Detailed Itinerary for a 12 Days Kenya Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi Kenya, where you will be met by our representative who will welcome you to Kenya. You will then be transferred to your boked accommodation facility in Nairobi, preferably a hotel.

Arrive in the hotel and check in. You will then relax and unwind at your lodge for the rest of the Afternoon.

Day 2: Transfer from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Wake up early in the morning and enjoy a hefty breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast, depart for Amboseli National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants and the spectacular views of the giant towering Kilimanjaro Mountain. The drive from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park is about 4-5 hours by road.

Arrive in Amboseli National Park in time for lunch and proceed to you booked lodge. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch at your lodge and a short rest.

After lunch, embark on a thrilling afternoon game drive in Amboseli with views of Mount Kilimanjaro and abundant wildlife that roam the plains. Amboseli National Park is one of the scenic National Parks in Kenya thus allowing for spectacular views and photography.

You will encounter several wildlife species including lions, leopards, elephants, and several mammal grazer species. After adventuring the Park, return to your booked safari lodge where you will have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Full day exploring Amboseli National Park

Today you will spend this full day exploring Amboseli National Park. Start your day very early in the morning with an awakening breakfast. After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in the park. Enjoy watching different wildlife species roaming the Amboseli plains especially the large herds of African Elephants. Visit different section of the park to have more wildlife viewing opportunities. After your morning adventure, you will return to your lodge for a lunch break.

Amboseli Reserve

Day 4: Transfer from Amboseli to Aberdare National Park

Today you will visit Kenya’s Aberdare National Park. Wake up early in the morning and enjoy a hefty breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, depart for Aberdare National Park, a journey that takes between 6-7 hours by road. Arrive in Aberdare in time for lunch and procced with a drive to your booked safari lodge.

You will have a refreshing meal at your lodge. The rest of the afternoon will be spent at leisure as you enjoy the lodge’s amenities or optional activities such as nature walks or bird watching.

Day 5: Morning game drive and transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

After your morning game drive in Aberdare National Park, return to your lodge and have lunch. After lunch, embark on a 3 – 4 hours journey to Lake Nakuru National Park where you will have your next adventure.

Arrive in Lake Nakuru National Park in the late afternoon and proceed to your booked safari accommodation for a sumptuous dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Morning game drive and transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Following an early morning breakfast at your lodge, embark on a breathtaking game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Today you will explore the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve, renowned for its large numbers of wildlife including lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, buffalos, hyenas, cheetahs, and several antelope species. Explore variour sections of this National Reserve to have great opportunities to spot abundant wildlife species.

Masai Mara National Reserve also hosts the annual wildebeest migration where millions of mammal grazers migrate into the reserve from the nearby Serengeti National Park. Day 8: Transfer to Lake Naivasha & Evening boat trip

Today following an early morning breakfast at your lodge, embark on a transfer to Lake Naivasha. You will arrive in Lake Naivasha in time for lunch and proceed to your lodge for a refreshing meal.

After lunch, enjoy an afternoon boat safari on Lake Naivasha, to have the opportunities to spot hippos and birdlife. Explore the region as you take in the breathtaking sceneries around the area. After your adventure, return to the lodge where a sumptuous dinner awaits.

Day 9: Transfer from Lake Naivasha to Samburu National Reserve

You will also come across different wildlife species including lions, elephants, zebras, and hyenas among others.

Day 11: Transfer from Samburu National Reserve to Nairobi

Today you will wake up lazily and have breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up for a transfer to Nairobi. Enjoy this long drive while witnessing the scenic Kenya Countryside and stunning landscapes;

Arrive in Nairobi in time for lunch and proceed to your booked accommodation in Nairobi. Check in and have lunch at your hotel in Nairobi. The rest of your afternoon will be spent lazily at the hotel as you relax and unwind.

Day 12: Departure from Nairobi
