Detailed Itinerary for a 5 days in Rwanda Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Having landed at the Kigali International Airport, our expert tour guide will take you around Kigali the Capital of Rwanda and explore Kigali’s cultural sites, including the Genocide Memorial Center and Kigali Market.
After then, you will be taken to Nyungwe Forest National Park by our tour guide. The journey is estimated to be about 5 hours.
Check into your accommodation. Refresh up as u wait to be served dinner.
Prepare for the next day’s primate tracking and canopy walk.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Canopy Walk in Nyungwe National Park
In the Morning you will have breakfast, then our guide will take you to the park headquarters and embark on an early morning chimpanzee tracking adventure. The Chimps can easily be tracked as you will hear them making chanting sounds, moving and jumping from branches of trees to another. Here, you have to be quick in taking pics as unlike Gorillas, chimpanzees are so naughty and they dont easily settle in one place.
Return for lunch at your hotel/lodge and later on explore the Nyungwe Canopy Walk. This walk is about two hours.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Our Tour guide will take you to Volcanoes National Park, this amazing journey is approximately a 6-hour scenic drive.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Get up early morning, eat breakfast and attend a small briefing about the DOs and Don’ts at the headquarters in Kingi. After the game ranger will take you to the starting point of the trek, where you will hike through thick forest to find and watch the different gorilla families. The 5 days in Rwanda, the time frame of the trek may differ depending on where the gorilla group you are assigned to are located, though it usually takes 6 hours. You will have a brief of 1 hour window to see and appreciate these beautiful giants after you located the gorilla family. Watching gorillas performing their regular task, playing eating and socializing with each other is really an amazing experience. Being close to them also offers a chance of taking photos and foresters, a strong bond with the natural environment.

Day 5: Golden Monkey Trek and Departure

Begin the day with a golden monkey trek in Volcanoes National Park. Most of the largest Golden Monkeys are spotted in Mountain Sabinyo. These golden monkeys are beautiful and can easily be identified.

Make your way to Kigali, stopping at the Musanze Market to pick up any mementos.
