Detailed Itinerary for a 10-Days Safari East Africa

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda to start your 10 Days Uganda Tanzania Safari. Our representative will receive you and welcome you at the airport. You will then be driven to your hotel in Entebbe. Arrive at the hotel and check-in.

Relax and unwind from the long journey at your hotel. Late on, you will be served with dinner.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Today you will embark on the long awaited gorilla trekking experience. Wake up early in the morning at around 5:00 am and have breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, depart your lodge and drive to the park headquarters where you will join other trekkers for a gorilla trekking briefing session. After the briefing you will be divided into groups of about 8 members and each group will be allocated a gorilla family and expert ranger guides.

Following the lead of your guide, indulge your self in the deep tropical jungles of this impenetrable forest to search for the elusive gorillas. while trekking through the forest, you will witness the incredible diversity including plants, birdlife, insects and small mammals. After a long trek in the forest, you will locate your gorilla family. Enjoy observing these gentle giants as the go by their day. You are usually allowed to spend up to 1 hour with the gorillas. After your time elapses, you will trek back to the starting point. Your driver guide will then transfer you back to the lodge for a refreshing meal and relaxation.

Enjoy your afternoon at leisure or go for an optional community visit.

Day 5&6: Serengeti National Park

Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, depart your lodge and drive to Serengeti National Park. Arrive in Serengeti National Park and proceed with a game drive in the park. The iconic Serengeti National Park is renowned worldwide for its impressive wildlife numbers including all the African Big Five Animals and for hosting the spectacular wildebeest Migration.

During your game drive you will encounter several wildlife species including lions, leopards, hyenas, buffalos, rhinos, crocodiles, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, and various antelope species among others. You will also have the opportunity to witness the spectacular wildebeest migration while here.

As it approaches to time for lunch, you will drive to you lodge and check in. Have lunch and a short rest at your lodge. After lunch, depart for an afternoon adventure in Serengeti National Park. Embark on another game drive in the park to spot more of its wildlife and birdlife. As the sun sets, you will witness the natural beauty of the vast golden savannas of Serengeti with numerous wildlife species roaming. As your day draws to a close, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Masai Mara National Reserve

Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, embark on a full day adventure in Masai Mara National Reserve. You will start you day with a sunrise game rive through the Mara plains where you will enjoy spotting lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, and various antelope species that roam the plains.

You will also witness the spectacular Wildebeest Migration in Masai Mara National Reserve if well timed. You will have a picnic lunch at a scenic spot in the reserve. After lunch, proceed with your adventure, exploring various sections of Masai Mara National Reserve to spot more of its wildlife and birdlife.

As your day draws to a close, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9: Masai Mara to Nairobi

Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive or go for the optional hot air balloon safari. You will enjoy your adventure in Masai Mara once more before you transfer to Nairobi. After your adventure you will return to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, depart your lodge for Nairobi.

Arrive in Nairobi and drive to your booked hotel. You can do an optional tour around Nairobi city, visiting the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage or Karen Blixen Museum. Later return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 10: Departure from Kenya

Wake lazily at your hotel and have breakfast at leisure. Depending on the time of your flight, you will either spend some time relaxing at your hotel or proceed with a transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for departure.
